Talon Letts Venice Football

If anyone wants the chance to get another ring for Venice this year, it is definitely Talon Letts, the senior middle linebacker who has shown great perseverance throughout his two seasons on varsity. 

When Letts was starting his first year on the varsity team in 2024, he was given the opportunity to play against Lake Mary for the state title. 

Now, as a senior, he is granted yet another chance to win back-to-back championships as Venice advances to the semifinals after their victory against Sumner. "It was great being able to get a ring and come back the next year with the same mentality," Letts said. "It feels amazing to be blessed with another opportunity to go win another state championship."  

The senior reflected on his performance from the previous year at states and set his mind to make changes in preparation for his final year with Venice. "I feel like I could have put way more into it last year regardless of the win, but there was room for improvement." With that as his mentality for the offseason, Letts dedicated the time to work with a personal trainer, show up to the gym everyday, and eat better. His time off was well spent, totaling 81 tackles over the course of twelve games. Letts is committed to win another ring for Venice for his final year with the team, but no matter how Friday turns out, it is without a doubt that this senior will put his heart into the game.
