Senior Alivia Fullerton had a fantastic season for the Rams varsity girls basketball team. After 2 years at Sarasota Christian, Fullerton came back to Riverview for her senior season and made the best of her opportunity. I had the pleasure of working with Alivia during football season as an intern photographer and she did an amazing jobs of covering RHS football. It is almost impossible not to feel the positive energy that is always on display with Alivia and I asked her what was best about being part of Rams lady basketball. "Honestly it is the team environment. Even if I don’t get in the game, the girls are always here for me and that bond is something I’m going to always remember."
Fullerton has taken part in a lot of different activities during her high school career, such as cheer, cross country, track, tennis and flag football. Fullerton says that her love for competion comes from her parents and the competition with her younger sister. "We are 22 months apart and we love to compete against each other. And my dad was my coach in middle school and he wanted me to be great, so I knew he was going to be harder on me." When it comes to competing in sports, Alivia will be right there to compete against anyone, anytime. She told me that her goal was to be in sports photography and there is little doubt that she will be great. Alivia Fullerton is a fantastic young woman and there is no debate on that. She was so professional working with me and she is someone that is bound for success with what ever field she chooses. Alivia, it was a pleasure.
