With his final high school football season on the horizon, Riverview Senior TE Miles Przekwasis is embracing every opportunity to leave his mark on the Rams program. After years of dedication in the weight room, film room, practice field and under the Friday night lights, Przekwas enters his senior campaign with experience, confidence and the determination to help lead the Rams to a successful season. As one of the teams veteran players, he understands the responsibility that comes with being a senior leader. "My goal is to help this team compete every week and do whatever I can to help us win. As a senior, I want to leave this program, at least as good but hopefully better than when we got here." Riverview head coach Mark Cristiani "in the times we are in now, coaches have to be prepared for good/great players, to transfer in and out. It would have been very difficult to replace a star like Miles. He is
the kind of player that you rarely get blessed with." The Rams are looking to build momentum this season, and experienced seniors like Przekwas will play an important role in that effort. His knowledge of the game, competitive mindset, and willingness to put the team first provide Riverview with valuable leadership as the season approaches.
That hardwork has paid off for Miles, as he has earned a division 1 scholarship to continue playing football next season for the Naval Academy. With a weighted 4.3 gpa, it is clear that Przekwas is as serious about the classroom, as he is about the gridiron. The 25/26 Riverview football team was lead by a bunch of seniors and it was one of the most successful seasons in recent history for the Rams but Miles hasn’t been deterred by the added responsibilities in leading this version of the team. "I wouldn’t consider myself a loud vocal leader. It is important for me to work hard so that I can reach my goals and hopefully the younger guys will see the correlation between hard work and success."
Thankfully for all of us, we don’t have to wait long. Riverview will host Logan Flaherty and the Port Charlotte Pirates Friday, August 14 th at the Ram Bowl In Sarasota.
