Colton Dempsey Sarasota Football

Sarasota Rb senior Colton Dempsey has been fighting a high ankle sprain since week 2 of the season, which has been very frustrating to him. When healthy, if Sarasota needed a big play, the ball usually finds its way into the hands of Colton Dempsey. The senior running back has emerged as one of the Sailors’ most reliable weapons, combining vision, balance, and toughness to lead the team’s rushing attack. Sailor head Coach Amp Campbell "Colton is one of those guys who refuses to go down, he plays hard every snap, and that energy carries over to the rest of the offense." The absolute best part of my conversation with Colton, was when I found out that he was born in Michigan, he is a big Lions fan and he loves Michigan St University. "I’ve got the opportunity to meet a couple of the MSU coaches and some players before a game. To me that was a really big deal to be introduced to these people from the team you grew up loving." Dempsey has various college offers and his family and he are trying to figure out the best fit for him to go to college. If I could offer any advice to Colton, there is a school in E Lansing MI that would be a great fit for him and with his current head coach being a former All American at Michigan St University, lets hope the Spartans make his short list of schools.
