Coach Jeff Harris Riverview Basketball

Riverview boys basketball coach Jeff Harris just began his second season and that is a great sign for the Rams program. With 3 different coaches in the past 3 seasons, coach Harris is trying to bring stability and continuity to his players.  "We are building this program from the ground up and our focus this season is to forge an identity." This season, the Rams are off to a 5-2 start and with the regional champs (Sarasota) up next, this is a good early season test for this team. Coach Harris "It is important to me, that we develop the players we have. If you look at our varsity team, most of these guys started on our freshman team and have worked hard to get to this level." One thing that stood out in my conversation with Coach Harris, he embraces being a "new school coach" mixed with  an "old school" mindset. "There are people in this world that will wrap their arms around you and welcome you right in. There are also people who are intense and may not treat you how people in your inner circle do. I think it is an important part of my job to prepare these young men for every possible interaction they may encounter." For those of you that have not had the opportunity to see the 25/26 Rams basketball team, it is fast paced and entertaining and I encourage you to get out and enjoy Riverview and Coach Harris.
