Chauncey Kennon Booker Football

When you talk about the elite players in Florida high school football, one name that consistently rises to the top is Chauncey Kennon. The Booker High School defensive back has earned a five-star reputation not just for his athletic gifts, but for his relentless work ethic and playmaking ability that make him one of the most feared defenders in the state.

Standing out in a program with a proud tradition of producing top talent, Kennon has carved his own path with a unique blend of size, speed, and instincts. At 6-foot-plus with explosive athleticism, he has the length to shut down taller receivers and the quickness to stick with the fastest slot players. His ball skills and timing allow him to turn potential completions into highlight-reel interceptions.

"He’s the kind of player who changes the entire game plan," Said Booker Head Coach Carlos Woods "Quarterbacks think twice about throwing in his direction, and when they do, there’s always a risk it’s going the other way."

Kennon while holding offers from Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami and Oregon, has decided to play college football for Florida St and coach Mike Norvelle. Kennon and the Tornadoes are 4-1 this season and have their sights on a FHSAA State title at the end of the season.
