Brooklyn Dominguez Venice Basketball

As a new girls basketball season approaches, Brooklyn Dominguez is preparing to take on an even bigger role for the Venice Indians. Known for her relentless work ethic, competitive spirit, and team-first mentality, Dominguez has developed into one of the program’s most dependable players. Venice enters the season with high expectations, and Dominguez understands that success won’t come easily. Consistency, defense, and teamwork will be the keys to making a deep postseason run. "When I was growing up, there weren’t a lot of opportunities for me to compete against girls, so I played against my brothers and cousins and that is where I learned to play aggressive. Because I’m a smaller player, my energy and aggressiveness is what I can contribute every night, to my team." Brooklyn has experimented with volleyball and cheer but once she went and watched her dads AAU team, the love for basketball took over. As a three year varsity player, Dominguez enters her final season with the Lady Indians in her familiar role as a leader. "I think the biggest thing I try to communicate to the younger players is that I have been where they are now and If we trust each other, winning will take care of itself." Brooklyn is prepared to embrace all of the duties that come along with being a leader on any team and paired with her relentless determination and a strong drive to improve, this very well maybe another memorable season for the Lady Indians.
