Nate Schueller did not ease his way onto the Saint Stephen’s offense. The 5-foot-10 senior came into the Falcons’ program this summer and immediately looked like lightning, the kind that changes how defenses have to play.

Ask what jumps off his film and he does not pause. “Speed. I run a 4.46 40, so I feel like, you can ask QB1 over there, if I’m pressed 1-on-1, put that ball up I’m gonna go get it.”

That is the Friday night bet. Schueller plays receiver and corner, but the 4.46 shows first on offense. QB Steven LeBlanc can throw him open or throw him contested. Either way, the idea is that number 3 comes down with it. 

Recruitment has followed. He has two offers, from Albion and Theil, and even more programs watching what he'll do next. Nate won't make that the headline though. “Honestly just focused on senior year right now and worry about all that stuff later.”

What he wants in 2026 is the part after the catch. “I need to work on what I do after I catch the ball. For sure. I’ve been doing some change of direction stuff, that’ll help me expand my game beyond the catch. I think I’ve proven what I can do when the ball is in the air, but trying to show people what I can do when it’s in my hands too. Make sure I’m dangerous in all elements.”

Speed gets him the first look. Yards after the catch are what will take his game to the next level. Saint Stephen’s will keep asking LeBlanc to put it up. Defenses will keep pressing him one-on-one. And he's already told them what happens next.
